K ki, which means “cake” in Japanese and also sounds like “polite” in Hokkien, is a Japanese-style patisserie offering meticulously created cookies and specialty mousse cakes.
There is also a small shop called ‘Little Drom Store’ sharing the space with the cake shop.
Please take note that there is a toilet behind Drom Shop’s cashier.
It is a very small shop, with about 12 seats indoor and 4 seats outdoor. There is only limited number of cakes available.
White Chocolate mousse with Mango centre
Extremely light and airy mousse covering a centre of mango puree with finely minced mango.
Strawberry mousse with Pistachio centre
Interesting combination of colours with pink and green. Very light strawberry mousse with pistachio centre, plus jam and sponge cake on the bottom. It does not taste too sweet with the layer of jam inside.
The price of the cakes are average $9 which I feel is a bit expensive for such a small piece of cake.
I have my cake with a pot of hot Osmanthus Sencha ($5.50) from Gryphon Green Tea Selections, which tastes quite light.
While my friend has her with Japanese Iced Milk Tea ($5.50). The milk tea somehow tastes like canned version.
Total damages = $31.35 ( includes 10% service charge).
