Flor Patisserie

I am on my way home, when I noticed a sign board at this counter. It seems that the stall offers a discount for its sliced cakes just before closing time. 2 slices of cakes are going for $10. Usually each cake is priced around $6 to $6.95.
Flor Patisserie is a Japanese styled serving authentic Japanese inspired French pastry. The cakes are made entirely of natural and fresh ingredients which do not keep well. So all unsold fresh cream cakes are sold at a discount at the end of the day.

The cakes all look so pretty on the display shelf.

Especially this one called Ichigo Roll ($40/ 16cm, 5pax).

The staff carefully packed my choice of cakes into this cute little blue box.

Waguri Millefeuille ($6.95)
Delicate strands of French chestnut cream carefully piped over a sandwich of crispy, flaky puff pastry and cream, topped with sweetened Japanese chestnut.
I like the flaky puff pastry very much, but the cream together with the sweeten chestnut is simply too sweet for me.

Napoleon ($6.95)
The traditional Napoleon, made with Chef’s signature puff pastry, the strawberry version.
It is a very delicious and delicate piece. The only letdown is the fresh strawberry pieces which are rather sour in taste.
