Everything With Fries

Today I am going on a Food Trail in Bugis Junction, organizing by OMY.

This place is the first pit stop for the event. It is at the top level, same level as Shaw Theatres Bugis. Simple decoration. Very open place, next to the escalator. Abit hot for those sitting by the windows.

Served by cute cute staffs in pink.

We get to order drinks of our choice.

Handmade Lemonade ($3.50)
Very refreshing with alot of pulps.
Orange Juice ($3.50)
100% Juice with thick amount of pulps.
Butterscotch Milk Shake ($5.90)
Very thick and creamy with strong taste of butterscotch. Noted that the butterscotch here is made in house.
Nutella Milk Shake ($5.90)
Takes the longest to arrive. Very thick and chocolatey, a favourite especially with Nutella’s fans.

First round of food

The One Egg Soup ($6.90)
House special made from one egg!
Soup is thicken with egg yolk, with the deep-fried egg white on top. Tastes like canned chicken soup.

Char-Grilled Char Siew ($15.90)
Pork Belly braised till tender, char-grilled with garlic sauce
Feel not tender enough, abit dry for the meat.

Wild NZ King Salmon ($18.80)
Crispy crumbs over melt-in-the-mouth salmon
Interesting having such a crispy skin. Juicy for such well done fish.

Skinny Wings ($6.90)
Crispy, Asian-style
Juicy meat but cannot taste any asian taste.

Second round of food

Char-Grilled Beef Karubi ($21.90)
Boneless US Prime beef shortrib, braised till tender then char-grilled
Very tender meat that you can easily eat it with a fork.

Steak Tulang ($25.80)
Char-grilled Ribeye Steak (~280g), served with a red wine enriched steak sauce with seared & grilled bone marrow; sauteed mushrooms, with thick cut fries & truffle oil
The tulang just tastes like fat. The meat under it is big and juicy.

Tandoori Chicken Sandwich ($11.90)
Char-flamed whole chicken leg, own tandoori marinade
Cannot taste the tandoori flavour.

Grilled Pork Chop ($13.90)
Thick cut flamed pork steak, in house Miso sauce
I think this dish is finished off the fastest. Everyone just simply like it.

The main courses here are served with fries. For a choice of shoestring or straight cut (a la carte $4.90), there are 5 different seasonings to toss the fries with : Original, Curry, Salt and Vinegar, Sour Cream and Onion, Garlic and Herbs. My favourite is sour cream and onion which reminds me of potato chip. For those who need a wake me up, should try salt and vinegar.

Too bad we do not get to try the dessert. The Mille Crepe ($6.90/slice) display at the counter looks very delicious. I will be back for it.
