Another Restaurant Week outing. This time round it is dinner at $35++ per person. Has a bit of problem finding the place. Looks out for the ACS signal next to the petrol station at the main road.
Disappointed as it is different from the one posted online at the restaurant week website:
Prix Fixe Dinner
Roasted Pumpkin Soup
purée of truffle infused tofu |fresh cream
6 hours Sous Vide Pork Cheeks
braised marbled quail eggs in soyu |edamame beans |parsnip purée
Brill Fish Fillet
mushroom fricassee |braised shallots in merlot |brussels sprouts |herb vinaigrette
wrapped with streaky bacon |mushroom fricassee |potato gratin |truffle and veal jus
Chef Creation of the Day
$35++ per person
I was looking forwards to trying the 6 hours Sous Vide Pork Cheeks after reading much about the Sous Vide method used by the restaurant. Very disappointed.
The raw tuna tastes overpowered by the seasoning. Could barely taste the fish.
Served like a piece of sushi, with a piece of cucumber in the centre of sushi rice, topped with the foie gras. Nice presentation, middle well cooked foie gras, but the standard of the rice is below expectation.
Abit too well done.
Asked for middle well, but abit too well done.
The coconut gelato is very nice. So thick taste that you will not feel that you are having gelato.
