Mai Thai

Today I got treat for lunch at Mai Thai in Holland Village.

The table setting.

Tom Yum Soup – Tom Yum Goong ($8.50)

Classic Thai spicy & sour soup – prawns and mushroom in clear soup.

Salty and not spicy.

Mixed vegetable – Pad Pak Ruom ($12.00)

Stir-fried baby kai-lan, cabbag, baby corn, carrots and mushroom with oyster sauce & garlic.

Mai Thai Chicken Panaeng – Panaeng Gai ($15.50)

Chicken in a rich ‘panaeng’ curry of coconut milk and enhanced with herbs.

Very thick sauce, but not spicy enough.

Pork Satay (6 pcs) ($11.00)

Thai pork satay served with our special Thai satay peanut sauce.

Grilled Prok – Moo Yang ($15.50)

Grilled pork slices served with spicy dipping sauce.

Steamed Sea Bass – Pia Neng Ma Nao ($32.00)

Steamed whole fish topped with spicy lime & chilli dressing garnished with fresh lime and coriander.

Taste sour but not spicy at all.

Green Curry Chicken – Gaeng Keaw Wan ($15.50)

Chicken meat with Thai eggplant simmered in green curry gravy.

Mango Sticky Rice – Khao Niao Ma Muang  ($8.50)

Fresh mango with Thai glutinous rice topped with coconut milk.

Cold sweet mango served with hot glutinous rice, a very freshing combination.

Overall the food needs to improve on its spicyness.
